About Terrain AI Labs
Built by builders. Proven in our own business.
Terrain AI Labs is a small AI product studio founded by Sandeep and Lindsey Barhanpure — a married couple who have worked together since 2017. This isn't a two-person startup starting from scratch. It's run by two experienced operators with products at three honest stages and a live business running on one of them.
Terrain
A nod to the cycling culture and trail systems we love across Northwest Arkansas — and an honest description of AI itself. AI isn't a magic switch you flip on. It's terrain you have to learn to navigate. You need to know the trail before you can ride it fast.
Labs
How we work. We're builders and tinkerers — we test things, break them, rebuild, and arrive at something simpler than where we started. This is where people who love difficult problems come to build tools that make those problems simple.
We navigate the hard stuff. We build the tools. We keep it simple.
Mission & promise
To make practical, working AI accessible to Northwest Arkansas' small and mid-sized businesses — built to the standards of the enterprise systems we came from, priced for businesses that can't afford those firms, and proven in the businesses we run ourselves.
Our promise
We build AI tools that make your business simpler to run — scoped honestly, delivered on time, owned by you.
The founders
Complementary skills. No overlap.

Sandeep Barhanpure
Engineering, Product & AI
Engineering and product experience at AWS and Walmart. Built Cadence AI, Ask Niko, and the Member360 public preview.
Why I’m doing this
I’ve spent my career building software and AI at large companies. The same tools can do just as much for a ten-person business—they just rarely get built for them in a simple, useful form. I want to change that.

Lindsey Barhanpure
Program Management & Operations
Led technical and operational programs in retail and supply chain organizations at Amazon and Walmart. Now owner of B Home Management and B Home Essentials—and the operator who uses Cadence AI.
Why I’m doing this
I run a small business, and I know how much of the day can disappear into busywork. Building Cadence showed me what changes when the system carries more of that load while the operator stays in control.
Working together since 2017
Most co-founder pairs are still figuring out how they work together. We're not.
Working together since 2017 means we already know how we communicate, how we handle disagreement, who leads which decisions, and how we perform under pressure. That's a track record, not a pitch.
The honesty starts here
We're a part-time studio at launch. We'll tell you what that means.
Sandeep is still at Walmart and Lindsey is running two other businesses, so our time is limited right now. We'd rather say that plainly than overpromise. One project done well is worth more — to you and to us — than three that stretch us too thin. Taking on fewer projects is how we keep the quality high, not something we're hiding.
We scope it straight
If a simpler tool would solve it for less, we'll tell you. If your data isn't ready, we'll tell you that too.
We say no
We turn down projects that shouldn't happen. The right ones are the only ones we take.
We own the result
Fixed scope, fixed price, and a real answer when something doesn't go as planned.
From here, for here
Real people from Northwest Arkansas, building things for businesses like theirs.
The outdoor culture — trail riding in Bentonville, the community built around NWA's exceptional trail systems — is part of who we are, not a marketing angle. It shows up in our name, our work, and the kind of community relationships that earn trust the slow, real way.

Let's find out if AI is the right answer for you.
No commitment. One honest hour. A real written output.
